i give up. it's clear to me that people here are more interested in removing things than discussion.

I wanted to give you an explanation of how deletions work on Wikipedia and am hoping you will still see this. I know this is frustrating, but you should try not to become upset because your article has been nominated for deletion. The AFD nomination, far from preventing discussion as you seem to be suggesting, is your chance to make your case for this article. I realise you may feel you are having to go through this twice, but that is not quite the case. The first deletion was under the proposed deletion (prod) process. This is only for uncontroversial deletions. There is no discussion, but if even a single person opposes it then the deletion does not take place. Since you did not oppose the article got deleted, but our policy is to undelete prods on request because that means someone is now opposing it.
However, it is still open to the original proposer to nominate it at Articles for Deletion (as anyone can for any article at any time). AFD is a different process; unlike prod, a debate takes place in which anyone can take part and after seven days an administrator will assess the consensus and either delete or keep the article. I urge you to take part in this discussion and make your points there. SpinningSpark 14:44, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not annoyed because people want to delete 'my' article. I'm ok with it being deleted if it's against the rules. I'm annoyed because I explained my reasoning over and over again and no one ever responded to it, they just repeat the same claims without addressing anything I said, as if they never even read what I wrote. I honestly don't care enough about anything I've written to spend so much time and energy defending its existence. I'm not gonna write my arguments a fourth time on a fourth page. That's ridiculous. I tried adding some information to Wikipedia to make it better and what I got is people deleting what I wrote without telling me, even after I took the time to follow the rules and read everything about adding sources and formatting it nicely, and then people talking over my head and ignoring my reasoning and telling me that if I want to discuss I have to go to all these other random pages and talk there, and it's a new page every time. You can see even in the deletion discussion, Mendaliv is posting there about it not being acceptable, even though I already provided evidence to him counter to his argument and he admitted he has no idea what he's talking about. Like, I gave a lot of links indicating that Superettan is a professional league, and not one person has countered them. lol. what a shitty fucking website.

I know the procedures here can be arcane, but it won't help to throw a tantrum about it. The AFD debate is the only place here where arguments about deleting an article have any impact. Why did you remove your comment there about Superettan being a professional league? If true, that should be enough to prevent deletion. SpinningSpark 02:42, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject:Football

[edit]

Pomelotree: I've dropped a note to the editor who PRODded the article without letting you know. I've also started a section at Wikiproject:Football on the status of Superettan. If you see this, could you please try one more time and present evidence there? They are the keepers of the list of fully professional leagues. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:46, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
